Aspen Fire is supporting Pitkin County's effort to update the county-wide Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). A CWPP assists the county and local fire districts in gathering resources, evaluating wildfire risk, and identifying strategies and actions to reduce overall vulnerability to wildfire events. By updating our CWPP, the county and fire districts will remain eligible to apply for federal and state grants for vegetative fuels reduction efforts.
The draft Pitkin County CWPP is currently out for public review and comment until September 30th.
