All Things Wildfire - Presentation and Q&A

Come to the downtown Aspen Fire Station to listen to a 30 minute presentation about wildfire preparedness from AFPD's Director of Community Wildfire Resilience, followed by a comprehensive 60-minute public safety panel Q&A session, featuring representatives from various organizations actively engaged in disaster management and public safety.

The public safety panel will consist of representatives from:

- Aspen Fire Protection District
- Aspen Police Department
- Pitkin County Sheriff's Office
- US Forest Service
- Red Cross
- West Mountain Regional COAD (Community Organizations Active in Disaster)

These knowledgeable panelists will discuss wildfire mitigation strategies, emergency response protocols, community coordination efforts, and debunk common misconceptions surrounding wildfire preparedness. The event aims to educate, motivate, and dispel rumors, equipping attendees with accurate and actionable information to better protect their homes and loved ones.
 

Learn about local initiatives, how we can create opportunities for successful wildfire suppression, and how you can help reduce the destructive consequences of wildfire in Aspen. Bring questions, and go home with emergency preparedness info and planning materials.
